PTX

Pentatonix

Some might not know them, others might know them through Pitch Perfect 2. Who are they you may ask. Well, they are an a capella group. Unlike other fans that get to know them through the Sing Off competition, I get to know them through my lecturer. We were having a short break after an hour of lecture so the lecturer decided to show us a video of them singing "Evolution of Music", a combination of songs from the 11th Century to Call Me Maybe. Its mind blowing when they started singing because their voices is the only instruments they use to sing, no physical instruments was use. I started following them from the moment my lecturer showed me their video. The second video I started watching was "I need your love". Their voice are so synchronized, a melody was created by adding another harmony with just their voices just like a beautiful fireworks continuously adding another one to make it looks more beautiful. Their songs were so amazing that I wished that they would come to Malaysia 1 day to perform.

I remember there was a day when my friend told me that they were going to perform in Singapore. And I'm like "wwwwhhhhuuutttt", why not Malaysia because the distance between both country is "so close but so far away". LOL. Then beginning of April the organizer announced that they are having a tour in Asia and Malaysia is one of the country and it'll be on 30th of MAY! Hallelujahhhh! It's definitely 1 of those concert that you shouldn't miss and it should be on the bucket list because it is hard to find a group or a band that uses just only their voice to make music. I get the cheapest ticket because that is the only price that i can afford but who cares, being able to listen to them live is the main point. Knowing that they will be coming, I started joining all sorts of contest to try my luck to win better tickets and meet and greet passes. I did manage to win better tickets but I'm kinda upset that I didnt manage to win meet and greet passes.

30th May 2015

Started queuing at 4pm on that day. And i have to say it is worth waiting at 4pm under the super hot sun because their concert is mind blowing. The way how they sing is exactly how they sound in the CD. I read online that people were saying they no longer sound like the way how they sing in the closet room or kitchen. Being able to listen to them live makes me think that what I read online is wrong because THEY SOUND EXACTLY THE WAY HOW THEY SANG IN THE CDs THAT WE LISTEN TO OR SPOTIFY.

They started off with "Problem"

"Telephone"
The very first song they compose that made PTX exist.

Evolution of Music.
The very first song that make me fall in love with them.

When they were about to perform "Standing By", Scott ask the audiences whether do they own an Iphone or Android and the audiences answered yes. So he requested us to switch on our flashlight. When Avi started singing the view looks like this.

It's kinda amazing when everyone switch on their flashlight.

That's Christmas To Me.
Who says you can't sing Christmas when it's not December? They can choose others songs to perform but they chose this instead. It's a very heart warming song and each time I listen to it, it makes me wan to tears. So many great memories appear whenever I listen to it.

Scott requested the audiences to be quiet while they perform this song because they're using 1 microphone to perform. Im glad because the fans can relax and chill a little while they perform. The audiences were amazing and they kept quiet, what shock me was even though Scott didn't request the fans to switch on their flashlight, the fans just switch on. That moment is amazing, so heart warming.

Daft Punk

On My Way Home

After performing their last song, most the fans doesn't believe that the concert has finally ended including me. I kinda kept looking around to see whether people started leaving or just sat down wanting for more. But apparently, people were leaving and it's a sign that the concert has officially ended. I was hoping for more, wanting for more and most importantly I wanted them to sing I need your love because i heard them rehearsing that song but they didn't sing.

Words can't describe how grateful am I that PTX came to Malaysia. Being able to stand 2 feet near them was "on cloud nine" kinda feeling.
Scott, looks super duper handsome in real life, has amazing voice.
Mitch, definitely hit the high note well, crashing the stadium with his amazing high note.
Kirstin, looks gorgeous in real life too and I love the way how she say rather be but she didnt speak much tho.
Avi, the crowd goes wild when he said thank you with his bass voice. I think the entire crowd gone wild whenever he speak with his bass voice.
Kevin, I think it's hard that one plays the cielo while beat boxing but kevin did it!

It's definitely tired to perform without a band or any physical instruments but they proof to everyone that they can and they did it.

Please visit Malaysia again!

Ps, sorry for all the grammar error.
